Considering an Evo, advice needed.

I have the chance to trade my 00 S2000 in for an 03 Evo. The reason I am considering this trade is because Im looking for something alittle more practical. I realize the performance of the two are comparable, but I fear the build quality is not. I am yet to have a single problem after 50k miles of beating on my S, and I would like to retain the same track record with an Evo, if I purchase one.

I know the 4g63 is near indestructable but I have read of issues with the transfer case and front diff. Along with that I hear there are a good number of rattles and what not in the cabin.

I guess my question is, have you had enough enough issues or complaints with your Evo to consider selling it? Thanks.

i know they are ppl on this forum that have the evo with close to 50-60k with no problems. if you know how to drive a car properly and keep on top of maintenence you should have no problems given some problems you cant control but overall no big issues. I have had no problems with rattling or anything but some may have. use the search as well you will be able to see most of ppl with the same opinion as mine.

the S2000 drivetrain is solid. The Evo's stock is pretty good quality but not to the same par, just shift a bit slower and everything will be fine. As with the noise, you'll hear a million more things with the Evo b/c of the lack of sound insulation...you'll hear every minute detail of a pebble being thrown around the undercarriage.
