I know that on the 05 Evo8s, HIDs are not standard.

They are available as part of the Sun, sound, leather package, but I'm not really bothered about the Sun, sound & leather, I just want HIDs!

Does anyone know if they're an option at the dealers? I can't see any mention on the mitsu website.

Failing that, are they a cheap purchase / easy install? (I know search, search, but hoping to knob 2 birds with 1 jonny).

2 birds w/ one what? Anyways, it still has projectors, so it should be easy. Just buy some HID's, there are a few places you can get them. www.xenondepot.com and www.superhids.com. You just put the bulbs in, find a place to mount 2 ballasts and do the wiring (including hooking a ballast to the battery). It's time consuming, but not that hard. You could ask around to see which Kelvin the stock HID's are to match them.
