Reasons to buy and EVO

Hi my name is john and i do not own an EVO as of yet but i have been looking at this forum lately alot reading and finding information about the EVO. From what i read so far i am really unsure about buying a used EVO. I hear people complaining about the clutch, the drivetrain, transfer case, grinding, brembo brake issues, and warranty issues with the dealer. I'm looking at getting an 03 EVO 8 and i have found one around my price range with about 10k on it. My question is even though im reading all these problems and people are seems really frustrated over the problems, why should i still continue to buy the EVO.

test drive it without the radio on and without the sales guy talking, tell him you want to listen to the car and he can talk when you're done. if he does talk, tell him "if you talk again, i'm walking and you'd hate to miss out on my checkbook". he'll back off, just listen for anything unusual and from where the noise is coming from. come back here and ask about the noises and we'll help you out. then you can go and buy or tell the guy he has a piece of **** car on his lot

It's an amazing maching with a ton of potential. I mean, there is a ton of pent up horsepower in that engine that you can release pretty easily, and it handles like a dream. I can't wait until I get mine...have a few offers on the Integra - if it sells, all I need to do is get a steady job (can't have a job at school, but the semester's almost over) and I'm going to make the purchase!

I should also comment on the versatility of the car. It's a fast car you can drive year round if you want to - not just a few months a year. It also seats 5 and has a trunk

You can't describe the car, u gotta just go and test drive it. We could sit here and tell u what its like, but every one has a different perception. Believe me, once u test drive one, you'll be hooked !
