I currently own a standard model WRX sedan. It is wonderful and I love it. I am looking at replacing it with either a 2006 Evo IV or maybe an 06 STI. I autocross and rallycross my WRX and would continue to do so with EVO or STI. How is the reliability of an EVO for this usage. I am aware of the warranty problems that Mitsu has created with people who race their EVOs. I have heard that the EVO is not a really reliable car when pushed hard. I take excellent care of my cars but can't afford to be constantly fixing something on a car that is always broke. Any opinions and knowledge would be helpful. Thanks

 

Can some people who auto-x or race their Evos please give me an opinion one way or another.

 

Dude, i just traded in a 2005 STi for a 2005 EVO GSR, im 100% happier, i think it is a all around better car, just like every magazine article always says, i say go EVO, don't even wait for the 9.
