Drag question

ok so i've never been to the track before..
and i'd like to try drag after my turbokit is installed....
what i'm wondering is how does all this thing work out?

i mean like, when is the track open for drag? everyday? all day?
and how do we pay? how do we start the race? etc??
i really want to know what are the procedures??
thanks for any help....

And, where do socal people go to drag their cars???

Ask the socal people all of your questions, each track varies.

since you are located in beverly hills, the closest track would probably be LACR. this is located near palmdale. take the 405 or 5 N to the 14 N. i live right next to magic mountain and it takes me about 45 mins to get there. So form beverly, prob 1 hour to 1 hour 15? i kno they are open on wednesdays, fridays, and saturdays. I would say Wednesdays are the best days to go, cuz the weekends get way too crowded. you could try going to the website. I dont know the exact link, but just type in LACR or Los Angeles County Raceway. I know that the altitude of the location affects your 1/4 time. Theres a way to calculate your real time on the site. good luck oh yeah, dont speed on the 14 fwy, mad cops everywhere. might be fun speeding on that fwy cuz it is a bit mountainous and full of uphills and downhills, but cops know that. i always see ppl pulled over on that fwy.

heres the link btw. www.lacr.net

For the actual race:

Line Up (get in line to race)
Avoid the water in the box when you're up (only for burnout purposes)
Watch attendant...they'll tell you when to pull up to pre-stage
Watch the tree - Top yellow lights are your staging lights. Drive up to the line until you see the first two lights go on, then slowly creep forward until the second set of lights go on.
Single yellow lights will count down...try to launch like right after the last yellow light goes on to get the best RT
Accelerate through the finish...don't stop early
Brake and exit on the exit drive
Pull up to booth to get your time slip
