HEy everyone just picked up the latest edition of Road & TRack.
Great article
0-60 tim of 5.1 sec with a 6500rpm drop
1/4 mile of 13.8 sec.
Much better 0-60 time dont you think?

Just thought everyone would like to know... The 6500 RPM drop that achieved those 60ft times also detroyed that clutch and trans. I have a friend that works at Mitsu in Tempe, AZ. The Road and Track car was in the shop the day before they went to Firebird Raceway for some 1/4 mile time runs. I did see them at firebird and they look so much better in person than on paper.

Sorry, 2 things...
1: I was talking about the EVO.
2: I was partially incorrect in my statement. The trans is in-fact what broke. The syncros were completely lost. While the car was in, they noticed how nicely the clutch has been scortched by the hi-rev drops and since they did not have time to turn the flywheel, they just put in all new clutch parts as well. I may nat always be right but I will always admit it. (and correct myself when neccessary.
