Want to say hello...
I wanted to introduce myself as I just joined the other day. I don't own an Evo, or even Lancer, but close. I have two 1997 Mitsubishi Mirages; one coupe, one sedan. I like them alot. lol
My reason for joining is that my new project for the coupe will require some browsing of your trader section. I will be needing some basic Evo parts that aren't always available on eBay or anywhere else.
Unfortunately, I won't be able to contribute much right away to the knowledgebase since I am just starting out in forced induction. Some punk who got an Evo for Christmas and drove it straight to RRE for a "tune up" probably knows more about the Evo VIII than me, but I hope to be able to give as much as I take eventually. My concentration til now has been on handling, so maybe I'll be of some use in that arena.
I also probably saw a lot of you at MOD '05 a couple weeks ago. Loved all the Evos. I took some pics here: http://forum.mirageinfo.net/mod05/. Us Miragers were stuck in the leper section with the Lancers so I'm sure no one passed my gold sedan. lol
For the visual folks, here's a somewhat current view of my coupe:

For those who read this far, thank you. ;-)

Thanks to all ya'll for the greetings. I was afraid I'd get chased off with the first reply for not having an Lancer.
Good to see a local Evo on here. On the Mirage board the majority of the people are in SoCal and the Southeast. Course, for all I know, that's how it is here too.
Yeah, the bumpers should be painted eventually. I have "rear pods" but still need to get a front lip. The bumpers are imported from Australia as the front lip will need to be as well. Stupid USD keeps dropping though.
Anyway, shortly before hell freezes over it should look like this...

I know a guy who took a Mirage and converted it to an EVO 5, he was making roughly 450hp, the most in the country for an EVO conversion. AND I LIVE IN MAINE! wow what are the odds. I thought about taking on a project like that however that is one hell of a project.
