Exclamation cat-back exhaust

I just have a question about cat-back exhaust. I really don't understand exaclty how it works. I just got my lancer not long ago so my parents won't let me void my warranty. I was just wondering if the cat-back exhaust did this or if it was just direct bolt on. I was also wondering if it would make my check engine light come on. I need someone to explain to me how it all works and if it is worth it. I dont want some cheap exhaust that whines like a baby when im driving down the road. Im thinking about getting the new greddy cat-back exhaust. If anyone can give me information that would be nice and also pricing on the greddy exhaust.

as far as warranty, it'll void the warranty if the exhaust can be proven the cause of the problem. that's to say you have a problem though. a cat-back will not make your check engine light come on. depending on what you get the exhaust can be a direct bolt-on, but you can also get a custom job. all i can say about the whining is that you gotta just see. the rrm axle-back has a good sound from what i hear and so does the greddy, but the greddy i quiter. not positive seeing as i have neither. hope this helps.

well rob said a while back that the cat-to-axleback piece for the rrm would cost around $120. so 120 + 270 = 390. keep that in mind.
