Newbie modding question?

Hi

I'm planning to get a catback exhaust, a K&N drop in filter, and a mbc. Is this alright for the car? Would there be any from problems from that? Also what boost level can I set the mbc so it's safe?

Thanks guys

Yeah, those are all safe, if they are done right. I wouldn't recomend anything over 21 psi on pump gas. 20 is considered a safe and basic level. I boost 21 with the Dejon tool and it holds really well and i haven't had any problems

Did you get a flashed with your mods? If you didn't how's the result of your mods, does it affect your performance without flashing?

Look into an ECU flash to get more from your stock vehicle, let alone the mods you have in mind. There are a number out there. Do your homework first.

Thumbs down

MBC don't work! Screw the drop in and spend some coin on a real intake! Exhaust, JIC!

Screw the real intake until you get a tune. You'll actually lose power and run way lean with some intakes without tuning. You'll be fine with a MBC, catback, and drop in. Like others said, just make sure you set the MBC properly. I'd also recommend the JDM Diverter Valve so that you won't be leaking any boost. (The stock BOV can leak).
