Whats up guys...today i bought my Lancer Evolution 8..finally..i was soo happy..right now im breaking in my car and i cannot wait to push my car..haha ohh btw i was wondering..do i have to break in my car hard by driving in high rpm or break it in low rpm? anywayz i have a lot of mods to do..and can you guys help me out?thanks! im new to this car and forum

When I bought mine just a few weeks ago I broke it in like it owed me money. I dont know if thats the best way though lol.

 

it's too late to do the high rpm break in anyways if your car has over 14 miles on the meter.
just get regular break in good luck

 

And follow your owners manual if you value your warranty. because mitsu sucks at warranty with evo's

 

I think Mitsu breaks in the engine at the factory, but for 400 miles take it easy 4-5k rpms... most importantly do not slam on the breaks they need to break in too.... have fun

for the past 1100 miles I kept below 4k rpm ...

 

mitsu told me to break it in at different mph. they said just dont think youre going to break it in on a long drive. they want highway and city driving.

but doesnt that new engine smell good burning?
