What the heck is a catch cam ?
It is placed between the intake and the valve cover to catch blow by oil/grime etc. It's purpose is to prevent this grime from collecting in the turbo. You can also just put a breather filter on the valve cover and plug the hole on the intake, it will serve the same purpose.

I have one installed on my current car, and its been a great investment. Since the installation, I now no longer have any oil in the intercooler and turbo hoses. Having all of this stuff out of the hoses does prolong turbo life, so its a good investment.
