www.zainobros.com

I originally used the Show Car Kit.
Make sure you get enough Z6 and Z7 for washes and shines.

Zaino just put out a new polish ZFX you want to try as well.

Well, as a guy in the car care business, I can say with a HIGH DEGREE OF CERTAINTY that there is a lot in the eye of the beholder. Different people like different methods and different waxes. Some advocate clay bar, compound, paste wax, etc. Clay bar it when necessary, compound it NEVER, and paste wax it frequently. Detailers spray waxes do nothing but improve the shine - meaning no protection. Colored polishes are crap, and using a high speed rotary style machine damages your paint. A good detailer will have products picked out that will fill in the swirls and hide them, but when that product wears off, guess what you get? Swirl marks. Compound only when nothing else will work - for example, when you have a scratch or a scuff.
As far as what products to get. Polishes clean, waxes fill in. In order to be a wax, it needs either carnauba wax or bees wax. Polishes have synthetic sealers but they also have cleaning chemicals in them. If you are going to clay bar, use a wax or synthetic sealer like Rejex - that stuff is amaxing. It won't clean worth a damn, though.
Read the label carefully, and do what it says. The high end waxes and polishes recommend you do one section at a time. That can be difficult to do if you don't have lots of time, or you simply don't care that much. Personally, I love my Evo but I'm not neurotic about keeping it perfect. It's not like it has a Mercedes or Bentley level paint job.

The best advice is to try a few products and do what works best for you. If you have a garage and no kids, spending 3 hours on a Saturday waxing your car is no big deal. Use the Rejex stuff a couple of times a year. If you only have 30 minutes and no garage, try the consumer stuff - Rainex has a nice product out. Simply choose a product that you can work with and you won't go wrong. Maquires and Mothers make excellent consumer products. Spending the money on Rejex and then getting discouraged to use it because it takes so long only means you won't wax your car.

True story ^^^

I use Klasse on my 911, and I also used to use it on the Audi A6 I ditched for my Evo. Stuff is amazing.

I need to find a good UV protectant for the carbon fiber wing now though...
