A good way is to look at the end caps. If you look at an angle, you should be able to see the weave underneath the paint. You can also, tap the sides or push on it. If it has more of a hollow sound, or does not really give. Then more than likely it is CF. If it makes more of a "thud" sound and is easy to push, then its prob plastic.

Not totally off subject but there was an article in Motor Trend a while ago with a blue one and a hot blonde sitting on the wing. Can it actually hold that much weight? I know cf is strong but could our wing actually hold 100+ lbs?

i have a 03 yellow evo and my wing is so very hollow.

 

Except black... Maybe it's just me but I can't see me getting any cf pieces for my car. Any one have any specific pics of a black EVO w/ cf that looks good? Any other color though...
