hey enthusiasts, ive got a question. does anyone know if the 06 gsrs will have the same alcantara/leather seats as the ones you see in the mr? everyone's been saying how awesome the seats are and all, although ive noticed all the talk is for the mr model with no mention of the base VIII. im not sure but it just might be the deciding factor whether i get the VIII w/ SSL or IX base with the mr seats (as all of you who've experienced the leather seats know its much better than the cloth). hopefully they do and will however as you can see, http://www.mitsubishi-motors.co.jp/EVO/lineup01.html
the seats are somewhat different when comparing the mr and the gsr or the gsr and gt for jdm respectively. the rs seats just look plain dinky imo. i know all about the mechanical and ergonomic advantages of the IX to the VIII, but this has been on my mind for a while now. let me know what u guys think.

which ones? i "know" the IX's cloth seats are better than the VIII's, but im just saying i'd much prefer the extra leather upholstry for the more refined and luxurious look since it is a 30k+ car. gives it a much better look than for all those people who say the evo is just a 30 gran econobox. at least now u dont just pay for the engine, completely lol

 

the IX's seats are gonna be leather and alacantra (spell check haha)

Way better than the blue and black cloth. But if you get the leather in the 05 is isn't much diffrent.

 

yeah ive sat in those leather seats and i loved them! ive seen pics of the new seats and they're pretty awesome too so if the base gsrs come with them stock then i dont need to spend the extra 1900 invoice for the ssl upgrade to the VIII. i would do without the sunroof and sound and hids (boo!) if i can get those seats on the IX. plus the IX is a newer model with significantly better improvements and i definitely like the new look. im just going to have to wait a few more months

 

All three USDM IX model variants (RS, MR, standard) come with the same Alcantara and leather Recaro seats........very nice

No.......the JDM RS has crappy seats, the USDM IX RS has the same leather/Alcantara seats as the USDM MR and "GSR".

First of all you say the USDM RS has crappy seats then you post a link to the USDM specs where it definitively says that the RS has the exact same seats as the MR and standard IX i.e. Alcantara and leather.
