hahaha yes I'm an evo n00b. I checked 's site right after I asked the question, and was like "d'oh". I was just thrown off - for the eclipses it was called the "sun and sound package".

soo...as I 've been hunting around and haven't locked anything specific enough down, how much boost does the stock evo VIII run on that 2.0 engine?

(PS. I have searched for "boost" "Turbo" "stock psi" "PSI" "twin scroll turbo" "stock boost" and looked in the "turbo" thread: all have returned junk or differing opinions)

 

19-22 for 04 and 05.. some taper off and some dont.. boy you were just on mitsu's site and they say how much the car boost's.. nooooob

 

yeah but that's what mitsu's saying the car's boost is, and you guys know a hell of a lot more about this car than they do, I'd think.
Besides, that's all advertising. They say (on the site) that the horsepower is 276, but what do the wheels see? I know it's an AWD car, so the wtq must be fairly high, but car manufacturers never list the wheel hp or wheel tq in order to inflate numbers, so I didn't know whether or not they did that with the boost as well by including things like the 14.7 sea-level psi to artificially inflate boost numbers.
Usually when someone says "I'm running 9 psi of boost" they mean 23.7psi total (depending on where they live, obviously...someone up in the mountains would be different)
So I didn't know what people meant here when they said they were running 25 or even 30 psi of boost on an upgraded vehicle.
