Getting an Evo

I just recently sold my 95 bmw m3 and after test driving several different cars i have decided I like the EVO the best and I plan on buying one. The problem is I'm not sure on what kind to get. I really like the RS and the MR. I've only test driven the RS though. I'm wondering if there are even MR's still available brand new because I havent seen any in the dealerships around my area (Portland, OR). And even if they are, are they worth the extra 5,000 dollars? I have 12,000 dollars ready for a down payment from selling my m3, a good paying job at nearly full time hours, and i still live at home with no rent, so money isnt too much of an issue, but I don't want to waste my money on something that may not be that mcuh better. Any advice on which way to go? RS, VIII, or MR?

Well, They wont let you test drive the MR at all cause it adapts to one driver and that driver only. I've Driven the RS and i love it, but just know, Insurance is gonna be outrageous. If you can, get the MR

yeah I already checked it out with my insurance company and it would only be 900 every 6 months to insure an evo which is not that bad, my m3 was around 800 every 6 months.

also I've seen magazine articles that say the RS does 0-60 in 4.3 seconds where as the MR runs it in 4.7. Anyone know anything about that? I wouldnt think that 110 lbs would make that much of a difference in the 0-60 times especially when the MR has closer gear ratios.

Check the 0-100 times also if you put any stock in those magazine tests.
0-100 in 12.6 for the 05 RS according to Motor Trend.
13.5 for the VIII
13.1 for the MR
