Question sorry, newb question, sorry again

hi there guys
i'm a new b here. i was checking into wat car to buy because honestly i am just tired of hondas. i own a honda accord and its not bad but no power at all. i have spent at least 5 grand in it and all it can do is keep up with a tl-s
thats just sad.
so now my choices are a sti, an evo or a 350z. i like all of them. the power is almost identical. the looks are all different but they all look good.
i heard that the sti is harder to modify and more expensive to mod plus it responses not that good with mods. i also heard that the evo is great for mods and its the best at responsing at mods. the z is in the middle of both.
so i'm really leaning towards the evo cuz of its looks and style and power and everything. i just love the looks of it.
so here is the question, if i had to choose, which should i go with? the GSR (USDM) or the MR? i know the MR is 6 speed for yay but i dont know if thats good or bad when modding is related. does the MR respond just the same as the USDM evo? is the only diff between them, the 5 and 6 speed ?? i need your guys help
i dont know what to pick.

thanks guys

i voted mr, i say mr is worth it for what u get especially if you dont want to mod or lightly mod. or you can save some money get a gsr and spend the extra on mods, but if you go that route u lose the 6th gear. the 6th gear isnt a big deal til after 3rd it shortens the 4-6 gears and i think you gain a lil top speed i think is a little higher because of the 6th gear. i think the mr is hot, the 350z has similar power but isnt nearly as fast, sti is the sti i respect them

so that 6th makes a diff. cool
i'm planning on modding it, more hp.
but another concern is that will the parts from the gsr evo work with the mr one?? or are they 2 totally seperate models and stuff

The MR is an option car. Same engine, rear end...whatever...only the trans and roof (and vortex gen.) are different. Well that and the $.

6 sp, with its extra weight (alum roof or not) - to me, doesnt justify the higher price.

Reg ol' 8 with the 5sp. (SSL with HID is would be nice though...)

The will work the same. The cars are basically the same the MR just has diffrent suspension, 6speed, and is a little lighter.

Ah the suspension...I forgot the suspension...

MRs are not lighter. Actually weight more than the 8. The roof is to help get the weight and center of gravity down.

rs < 8 < mr

oh ok
so the advantage is the gearbox
the suspension isnt that big a diff is it??
and that vortex makes that much of a diff??

if u had to pick, wat would u get? mostly everyone has the gsr one. i could always spend a little on the suspension and get better oens then the mr right??

if you want a fast car for cheap you can forget about the 350z. you are looking at 5gs just to turbo charge. if you were going stock for stock the STi would be a better choice than the Evo. Sounds to me like you are looking to mod. Evo would be the way to go. cheap parts, big power. not sure about the mr. it does have better resale than the 8 but if you mod forget about resale. the 6 speed is good i guess, i dunno if its worth the price of admission though. my advise, i would go with the 8,... but i guess you could have figured that out for yourself by looking at the car i drive...
