There have been so many threads started on intakes, it's not funny. All you need to do is run a search on short ram intake, cold air intake, or Stewie's personal fave, his GOD Cold air intake.

Here's some basics just for you:
*Are you an automatic or manual?

Autos tend to only be able to use a short ram, although some have been able to squeeze the cold air intake piping around the rest of the piping in the engine bay.

Manuals have the choice of both short ram and cold air.

*What's the difference in gains, you ask?
Very little, if anything. Yes, short ram is sucking air in from the hot *** engine bay, but the cold air intake piping is running through that same hot *** engine bay. Unless you're thermo wrapping your cai piping, I don't think it'll make a difference between the two. Plus, you've got the RMR short ram that gives you a nice heat shield.

Plus a short ram doesn't have the chance of sucking up water like a CAI does.
