mbc or a reflash. Read up more on the forums and the majority will tell you that an intake isn't necessary since the stock airbox will do it's job just fine. Just do a drop-in filter

Although, The intake will give you the sweet sound of your turbo! and about 3 lbs of weight reduction.
I just went back to stock airbox temporarily.
Now, I don't know what is going with my turbo since I can't hear anything from my intake. I miss the sound from my intake. sh~shhh~shhhhhhing~!

+1. a reflash will increase the performance even on a completely stock car. an aftermarket intake can mess with the maf readings and hurt performance. the stock airbox will support 400+hp. just get an aftermarket filter. k&n is decent and cheap. imo i'm not a fan of their excessively oiled filters. the works has a filter with a greater surface area than the k&n but its also ~$100. ditch the ssqv.

Injen intake with upper IC piping, a triple gauge pod, and an electronic boost controller.

even though u dont want to mess with the ecu it would be ur best bang for the buck to send it to Al at dynoflash or to Turbotrix for a flash. An intake is worthless without a tune, i guess unless its a drop in because apparently the car goes lean after an intake. good luck!

I'm gonna utilize the stock airbox no matter what anybody says! lol...I got the Works drop in filter and a DejonTool MAF pipe in black...looks stock as hell and with my XEDE tuned, performs quite well...although I have no quantitive data to back it up...
