my new 2006 EVO IX MR GG

yeah, picked it up today for 36,500 + free window tint. i didn't plan on buying today, but they did what i wanted so i figured i might as well. i'm happy with my purchace. i wanted to finance less than 30k, which i did with the 10k down. i went for 60 months at the best rate they had, 5.25%. and on top of all that, the thing is unholy fast. i'll post pics in a lil while. i took pics of it with my accord. peacE

thanks man. just happy to have it all over with. i think i got a good deal on the car compared to what other's are paying. the dealership was asking 38,373, i got it for 36,500 + free tint. i'm happy with it. the accord is a 4cyl auto with AEM V2 intake, DC header, GReddy EVO exhaust, VIS cf hood, sparco hood pins, ground control coilovers, tokico illumina shocks, neuspeed strut bar, eibach sway bars, 17x7.5 volk racind SE37K wheels, 225/45/17 Falken Azenis sport tires, black housing headlights (DIY), smoked tails (DIY), tint, and an undefeated record in autocross STS class the MR payments are 567.00 a month. insurance is 171 full coverage. insurance on my accord is 62 a month full coverage. both will drop once i get renter's insurance (extra discount)

MRSP is 36,895. i'm looking at the sticker now lol i dunno where you're getting your numbers from, but you have to add in the 595 for destination charge. nice try. if you want to hate, go to the other thread. i got it for 400 below MSRP, and a free tint...1873 below what they were asking for the car, which was 38,373!!! yes, they marked it up over sticker. i paid 400 under sticker. im happy with my car.

yes i did put 10,000 down.

what's funny is i'm not even really excited about the car lol i look at it and see another bill haha it was time to buy a new car, and it's a damn good one, but it's just another car. i dunno, i don't get excited about anything really...im just a laid back ****. maybe it's because im just tired from all the driving/waiting/bsing, and not eating that went on today.... i do feel right at home in the car tho. it feels like my accord, only a whole hell of alot faster. the seating position, visibility, ride stiffness, stability, it all feels like my accord. which i REALLY like. i can't wait till i get passed the first 1000 miles so i can put it on the track.

that's a bootleg calculation lol. you're adding intrest with no intrest. my bottom line was like 39k, i financed 29k. ever heard of finance charges? it wont be that much because i'll pay it off in two years probably. i'll save alot on the interest. and it's an EVO, of course it's worth it lol to the other guy, don't start on this thread.

What do you mean? The calculation was exact. What about finance charges? Those only happen when you have a revolving debt that doesn't get paid off and incurs a charge at the end of the month. You put 10k down and still got a weak interest rate when others have gotten 0% or some other rebate.

When I bought my 05 MR the day it came off the truck - first one in the area - I paid the exact sticker price, put $500 down (my deposit from 6 months earlier), and financed for 3.99%. My total spent at the end of the loan will be $39,780. You wend up paying 5k more over the life of the loan despite putting 10k down. After all that smack from the other thread, it doesn't appear your negotiating skills were good enough to overcome your lack of financing skills.

How are you saving a lot on interest? You're saving SOME on interest thanks to 10k down, but your still paying out over $4k in interest due to the rate. When did the 0% end? You financed $29,900 at 5.25% after your 10k down payment, so this means that you paid $3400 in TTL, which is almost double what I paid in TTL. Are taxes just that high in your state? Altogether, your monthly payment is $100 less than mine despite putting 10k down. Oof.
