Clutch Question!

Since i have'nt had time to bring my car to the dealer i was wondering if u guys or gals have experienced a problem with putting the car in gear when the car is cold ? When it warms up an has been driven at operating temp. it seems ok ! my car has 2k miles on it and started at around 1500 miles! what should i do? A mechanic at the bodyshop i work assumed it was the gear oil and i think it's the clutch! I never launched it if that makes a difference!

This is normal for the Evo. It even says in your driver's manual that it will be difficult to shift when the car is cold. In fact, the tranny makes some noise from 2nd-3rd gear. But when the car has been driven for about 10 minutes, the tranny is smooth as hell. Shifting becomes more precise because the tranny lubricants had some time to heat up.

I beleive the issue lies in the straight-cut gears, very few passenger cars have them.
