I guess by now you've realized that most on here are a bunch of a-holes. If you really want to have fun....do whatever you want with your car. Hell it is YOURS isn't it. And also, never post any pics or dyno #'s here either. It just opens it up to a host of cruel comments by all the armchair race drivers.

But......... the visor is a bit much. Aren't they supposed to go on your head??

No, I don't sell aftermarket stuff, but I can advise you on the best parts to get that will provide the most power for the least amount of money...and then I can point you to the vendors who can get you the best prices (sponsors of this forum).

Why do you believe people need to always consult with evom before purchasing a mod?

He changed it. At the time, it had a list of pretty useless mods already done to the car. It then had a list of planned mods that were also useless. The combined cost of all those current and planned mods were enough to have 300whp in a heartbeat, but instead, he was going to end up with very little HP over stock to go with a lot of shiny stuff.

I don't believe anyone HAS to do anything.

I do believe that most people would be far better off if they consulted with us before purchasing mods.

Why are you so worried about my finances? You're a hater, I think you are mad because I have an IX and it looks better than yours, even if right now it is not as fast. If you want to gived some criticism how about syaing something like, look dude, if you really wnat HP then you should get this, instead of your 1st comment to me being ...

"By looking at your sig, I can tell you haven't done any research and couldn't care less about our advice nor your car's performance. Am I right? If so, we'll just leave you alone to find out the hard way."

I , unlike you do not have all day to just surf the EvoM............so do me a favor and stop worrying about my finances, and if you do not have anything nice to say how about not saying anything at all. I'm not some 19 yr old punk whose parents bought me the car for graduation, I'm 29 and been in the ARMY for 5 years.

And no, I am not putting "DUBS" on my car.

I agree with Warrtalon statements, unless you don't care of what you want to spend the money.

In my opinion the lower and upper radiator hoses aren't a mechanical priority. The oil catch can could wait also. The Turbo timer is a piece of mind upgrade but is not a priority as long as you can wait 30 sec (min) before you turn of the car.

so:
Perrin air filter, good purchase
Oil catch can, you don't need it
Turbo timer, good to have but can live without it
radiator hoses.. to soon to replace them already

Nice car by the way.

I don't think you can fit the Buschur 3" Down pipe on the MR. Call them first, the MR Downpipes are a bit different due to the differnt shape of the transmission.

Try Works or e-mail someone in this forum that has a MR and has a known downpipe that fits.

Yes, I'm so jealous because yours "looks" better. How asinine is that? The only exterior difference is the front bumper, which I'm not fond of in the least. I would wouldn't mind having those seats, though.

Anyway, that wasn't my first comment to you. My first comment was, "
Before purchasing anymore mods, be sure to consult with us unless you just don't care. We could have saved you some money already and can definitely save you money in the future." I offered help and advice, but you didn't listen. Notice how I said "unless you just don't care." Well, you didn't say you "don't care," but went on to create a mod list full of useless items. When I saw that you had ignored the advice and moved on, I made the 2nd comment that you quoted above.

I bought my car at the age of 29 after 5 years in the Marine Corps. That didn't give me a reason to go buy a bunch of useless mods on my car without consulting experts/gurus first. You took advice from your "friends" instead of those of us who have a clue. The end result is that you have very little to show for a lot of money spent. You keep telling me not to worry about your finances...well, I'm not worried about your finances. All you have to say is, "I don't care how much money I waste on mods. I'd rather waste my money than make my car faster, so leave me alone." You may be 29 and may have paid for the car yourself, but your actions emulate the 19yo punk kid whose parents bought him an Evo...

I can help you also but I promise I would post my choice vendors on the forums, I will pm you the info. Main issue is that I don't want to screw vendors by making comments about other vendors prices etc.

Feel free to pm me. By the way please join www.evolutionmr.net and register yourself there. Me and warrtalon are members there.

Take care!!
