I've just bought my EVo IX last week and love the car. Got a couple questions though about some noises. When I'm driving the car I hear what sounds like a rubbing sound coming from the front end it's not real load but gets a little louder when I'm going through a turn with any speed. Just wondering if anyone has had this? The other one is does the headlight adjustment come in every EVO? Well here are some pics of her, sorry it's dirty but I drove home in the rain.

I may be totally wrong here, but I'll take a stab at it since nobody else has posted yet. Without hearing the rubbing noise, I'm actually going to guess it's the road noise from the very sticky Advans (if the 2006's come with Advans). I'm not sure what you were driving prior to the EVO, but the turning road noise from the tires is very noticeable in the turns. Took me a little getting used to.

May or may not be it, just throwing it out there.

Enjoy the new wheels!

hmm something's off.. ahh of course, you opted for the ssl, very nice! to answer your question, new tires tend to be louder, minutely more audible, due to fact that the tread is not worn in yet. congrats!

Nice Ride..... When i bought my 05 it did the same thing, the noise was pretty faint though, it went away after a couple of months.

u mean the viii.. also it gets louder as you turn because there's more friction on the wheels, equating to grip. nice short shifter btw.
