has anyone started making mods/upgrades for the EVO IX MR? cause im getting the EVO IX MR as soon as i get back from Afghanistan in March but i cant find any aftermarket parts for it anywhere.

 

I think the main difference between the USDM IX MR and the 8 MR is that the IX has the MIVEC motor and a different front but other than that, alot of the parts should be the same.

 

what about hard pipes and cold air intakes cause doesnt the IX have a bigger turbo the the viii?

 

Those two mods have nothing to do with the turbo, so it's irrelevant. You don't need mods specifically for the IX MR. The mods are the same for all the Evos with the exception of cams due to the MIVEC.

Please, though, do NOT get an intake and hard pipes as your first mods...

 

what would suggest for first mods on a evo 9 , a air filter i THINK would have to be made for the 9 cause there is no more waterspray intercooler tank, would a dynoflash be a approate first mod , would a walbro fuel pump be nesseary, thanks for everyones help

 

Ok, a few things:

1) Don't hijack threads.
2) Search first, then ask. Suggested key words would be "first mod" "first mods" "mod help" "mods" etc.
3) Not sure what an air filter has to do with the "waterspray intercooler tank," but the 05s didn't have an intercooler sprayer, so the IX is no different in that department.
