New here. :-)

Hello, I am new to the forums, but not new to forums . Lol, anyways, a week ago, I went to Fox Motors Mitsubishi, and test drove an Evo VIII and I must admit, I fell in love right away. I will be ordering a Blue Evo IX come Christmas time, or my my birthday (02/12). I must say, this car was everything I had hoped for and more.
My only question, is as follows, why when I was letting off the clutch, (when I was first getting going,) did the car bog? I am use to letting out the clutch at around 2000 RPM's but when I did it with this car, it was just totally jumpy. Is that something that normally happens? Or is this something I am doing wrong? Thanks.

Joe.

hi im new here too. welcome! i believe from watching the top gear vid with the evo that the turbo has some lag until you get to the higher rpm range. I've never test drove one yet, but based on the vid it looks like you need to mash the gas pedal past 3-4K. Maybe someone else can give a better explaination from someone who owns one.

cheers.

yeah in the XIII you'll get use to reving a little higher than your used to. Its really no big deal. Also the MIVEC in te IX is suppose to give the car a little more low end tourque which should eliminate this issue.
