Yes the JDM one is the same as the one you have now, just made of metal, not plastic. If you REALLY want to have the sound on your car you can try either getting an intake(the HKS ones work well with the stock MAF) or get a dual vent bov like the TurboSmart one). I used the TurboSmart one on my 05 with no flash and never had a roblem at all. It recirulates and blows off. Sounds pretty mean too. Its kind of expensive but your gonna have to spend some money to get what you want.

I have a JDM Evo IX, so I was actually looking into the BOVs.

When you talk about the HKS intake, how would that give you the "whoosh" sound of a VTA BOV?

I was actually searching for BOVs, and found quite a few people talking about how VTA BOVs won't work...

However, if you re-circulate, then you do not get that "whoosh" sound, correct, unless you have a dual vent BOV (like the TurboSmart one as LetItBreath mentioned)?
