i may be moving soon to oregon, which has no sales tax. im wondering if people think the dealerships will jack up prices considering they lose out on about a few thousand per new car. would it be better to buy a car in ohio or oregon?

why the F would you want to pay sales tax if you can avoid it?? dealerships don't make a profit on sales tax - that money goes directly to the city and/or state in which you register the car.

The smartest thing to do is buy a car from TX and register it in OR. I sold one here in TX to a guy in OK that resides in OR (permanent residence) and gave him a great deal! LOL!

Happy Madison is right, us dealerships make nothing of off Taxes!

Best regards,
