Newb Boost Question
Hey, couldnt find it through search because it came back with 100s of threads but...
What PSI should the stock unmodified motor be showing?
When should it peak?
When should it Taper?
I know a mbc and such will help but i was curious about stock form
Turbo timers help with turbo life in most all other turbo cars ive incountered, is this a good idea in the evolution?
What gauge set do the majority of you have?
Obviously Boost....but what about oil temp, water temp, stoic etc.....im not a fan of idiot lights that have become all too common, but i dont want my interior to look like it fell out of the 70s NASA program.
Thanks for your time and effort, sorry for my underdeveloped searching skills

Well you have an O4 EVO, so boost kicks up to 19 psi i believe. A little higher in the 05's and tapers to 16 before you get to redline.
MBC are great or you could just pay $199 for a reflash and he sets your boost to around 20 psi and it won't fade to 16psi.
Boost gauge is the most important (Defi's look awesome in red, but pricey).
Other gauges are necessary if you really want to tweak your motor.
Turbo timers are usually needed on older cars. For the most part, from what i heard, the evo doesn't really need one. Just don't boost the hell out of it, then turn her off.
Just my 2 cents. EVeryone has different opinions on this site, as you will find out soon enough.
