Damn, you already are changing the bumper? Good Lord. For the price of that, you could have a TBE, mbc, and intake. Anyway, try familiarizing yourself with the West Region forum. Random newbies likely won't know anything about San Diego.

i knew that was coming, I debated for for awhile on the Bumper, But, i had to ****** one up when i heard Tom had two left over ready for delivery. Also, I'm worried about showing up for my first scheduled visit to the dealer with any kind of exhaust or MBC. An Ecutek flash isn't pointless with just a stock car is it?

Nope, it's not pointless at all. The West Coast crew at Vishnu have shown 40whp increases with the EcuTek tune on 91oct. We've had similar increases with EcuTek flashes on the East Coast, too. You could get that done and have around 300whp (Dynojet equivalent) without a single visible mod.

Btw, does that bumper retain use of the rear crash bar? I thought it didn't, which made rear impact unsafe. I only mention that since you were concerned about the dealer seeing mods. I don't know if they could tie a future problem to not having that part, but I wouldn't hold it past Mitsu to use that as an excuse. I don't even know for sure, though, so let me know.

A road tune By al on the 14 of Jan. sounds awesome now. You know all about the crash beam stuff. That was part of the debate on the Bumper, But I tried to be strong and get the Bumper even though I would have the risk of running with out a crash beam. Maybe I can grow some B@lls and modify too.

Ah, so you're getting a custom road tuned EcuTek flash from Al? Awesome! I just got my sponsored road tune done today, and it was perfect. I was also excited to receive and then test out the new launch control set at 6k rpm. I can't wait to use it at the track...

im not signed up yet, for the Al thing but, that is taking priority over the paint job. Hopefully he will still have a spot for me in a day or two or three.

So, what is that altogether? $1000 for an unsafe bumper that looks nice? Sorry, man, just trying to put it into perspective in case someone else considers doing it.
