tapering boost?
tapering boost?
Is a boost controler all I need to fix this problem or do need something else I am planning on trying to run about 21 psi all the way to red line so let me know what all i need thank you all.
It's not a problem; it's by design. YEs, to remove the factory boost taper, you can add a boost controller or get a boost-controlling flash. Then, you will hold MORE boost to redline, but it won't stay exactly 21psi the whole way.
Basic, simple questions. Please, learn to use the search tool.
1) You won't ever hold 21psi "all the way," but you can get boost to taper less than stock by installing an MBC, EBC, or boost-controlling flash. It will hold boost longer, but it will still taper, especially once you pass 7000rpm.
2) To overcome the built-in 5k launch limiter, you can either disconnect the switch or get a Dynoflash that raises the limiter to whatever rpm you want. I will let you find the many threads that explain how to disconnect this switch. It is simple, but will be a good exercise for you to find.
