I just can't make up my mind!!! ARRRG

Okay, I'm very close to getting my Real Estate license, and I need a new car before my old Legacy dies on me, which it seems to be pretty close to doing. When I get a couple houses under my belt (might take some time) I am going to buy a new EVO IX or an STi. I've been on Subaru boards for a while learning a lot about the WRX and the STi. I just can't make up my mind on which car to get. The Subaru front end just makes me wan't to vomit and I love the agressive lines of the Evo. I'm leaning towards the Evo because I love red sports car and the STi does not come in red, unless you wan't that crappy ESX. So, as of right now, I wan't the Evo, but knowing me, I'll change my mind in about 4 minutes HELP!!!!!

If you are basing your decision off how they look and what color they come in, then you should really just get the STi. The Evo is not for people who worry about paint color. It is for people who want a purebred race car that was designed to be raw, cold, and calculated. It is ready to be raced directly off the showroom floor while also doing a decent job at pretending to be a tame daily driver.

I don't know much about Evo's and I know more about Subaru's. I should do a search and get to know the Evo a little more. Thanks dude

what kind of things are you looking for in your next car? plenty of users here will tell you flat out whether or not the evo would be a good fit for you, myself included.

Like I said, I want the agressive looks but the engine too mach. I watched Road and Track and the Evo beat the STi last time I saw the show. I wantt a car with plenty of power, and I'm not going to mod. If I get the MR, that's probably too much power, but that's what I'm shooting for.

If you are going to use the EVO to show houses I would say no and go get a Legacy GT or Mazda 6 Mazdaspeed. If this is a play car than it will be fine. I would not want to subject my customers to the EVO or STi ride.

You definitely don't sound like someone who would like an Evo. You should get a G35 coupe or something. That would be great for what you want as well as your job. If you need 4 doors, then maybe a Charter Hemi R/T, Acura TL, or 300C Hemi.

all the evo line up get the same engine and same power. The only thing the MR comes with is an upgraded suspension and 6speed transmission.

um. aggressive looks and engine to match? that could be a corvette, a lotus elise, an s2000... and how is the mr too much power? it has the same power as the other evo's.

i think you might want to reconsider getting an sti or evo. unless you are going for unrefined racecar like performance, i wouldn't recommend either one. here's a couple things you might want to ask yourself first:

if its being used to drive clients around, is it quiet and comfortable?
do i want/need awd?
do i want/need 4 doors?
do i want/need a nice interior (ie climate control, steering wheel mounted controls, etc.)? (because the evo definitely isn't anything special)
how much will it cost to insure and maintain the car?

start there, and that should help make things a little easier to understand. if aggressive and an engine to match is your only requirement, then yes, the evo would be one option.

That's not all, but it's a few of the big items.

My dad told me the same thing. He suggested a Legacy GT or an outback, which would be nice, but I just love the Evo and STi. I do have atleast a month to think about it and make up my mind.
