Yeah before my reflash my MPG was like 15, when I was driving slow. lol.
I think A drop in air filter, and a cat back exhaust would be your best best for power, besides a Reflash

congrats on your new purchase!!! You're gonna love it. I've owned several vehicles, one of the last ones was a Chevy Silverado ext-cab, which I loved but the gas prices were killing me . After that I traded in for a Mitsu Outlander XLS w/ all the works, but just was not fast enough for me. My boyfriend has an Evo 8MR and let me drive it all the time. He went to TX to see family and left me the evo. OMG!!!!!! I drove it for a week and after that I decided I need it to get my hands on an EVO and I love it. I just ordered a DC downpipe cat/delete and a Greddy evo2 exhaust. I can't wait to get it and install it. So far the only thing I have in my car is a K&N drop in air filter. My boyfriend bought me a boost gauge, which I just bought a control unit for too. I'm excited to do things to my car. Although I'm not planning on doing too many mods to it like my boyfriend.

Thanks girl!, I live in Miami and I just drove up to Pensacola to see my family and let me tell you, it was an incredible drive, like I was floating, I've only had my car for a week or so, so Im going to just enjoy it before I do any mods to it, but I will check out a couple of places just to get some ideas when I'm ready to pimp my babygirl out on the mods, I feel so powerful in my car and soon I will be ready to beat some boyz a$$ on the streets and yes Chicks w/ EVO's rule

Where are you located? As far as the mods you should chec out Ride in daytona the have biulit more evos in fla than anyone. Check this out it is mine.

They weren't talking about searching the Web. Use this forum's search engine, because the question you asked has been asked by a few thousand other Evo owners...and has been answered several hundred times. You can gain a wealth of knowledge first, then come back and ask us specifics.

 

Floating? Not exactly a compliment for an Evo A Lincoln Continental floats. So does a 1995 Caddilac Seville but not Evos.

Anyway, you asked about mods and the best first mod you can get is driving school. Take that car to a HPDE where an instructor can show you how to really drive it fast, safely, on a road course.

Congrats on the purchase. Remember, it's a privilege, not a right to own an Evo.

 

Coming from an SUV, I wouldn't do anything to the evo until you have mastered it's limits stock. It's a whole other world in the evo....
