Headers - Turbos

I read somewhere that if you plan on getting a Turbo kit that you dont need to bother getting headers, since the Turbo has parts to replace the header anyway.

Is that true? Seems wierd to me...

yea the if your talkin about the rrm kit youll need to use either the stock headers or the roadrace header
i would say you could use the rmr header but i dont knwo how it woul fit and it doesent have brackets for the heat shield so it woudnt work

usually a turbo system uses a different manifold made for turbo applications but that depends on the kit. if i got the rrm turbo kit i would have to get different headers for the simple fact that the stock headers are too restrictive

Road Race's turbo kit will allow you to use Road Race's header, but in a normal turbo setup you replace the header with a turbo manifold which feeds directly to the turbo (as opposed to Road Race's which uses a return pipe from the header). That's why theirs allows fitment of their header for increased exhaust flow.
