How much did you guys pay for you USED Evos?
That's a killer deal. This Acura near me wanted 24k before tax, etc. for an 03 with 32k miles. This other place near here is selling an 05 EB with 9k miles for 29k before tax+ fees... which is rediculous bceause you can get a new 9 for about that.
My evo started at $29,000 and I talked the dude down over the phone, I also traded in a 2003 MSP with 42k, my Mazda's trans was rebuild under warranty, and the clutch was just starting to slip when I sold it, the the clutch blew a week later when a kid test drove it. I got about $12,500 for the MSP. I drove 150 mi to get my baby.
i got my evo used off ebay, 17,000 miles, it went for 23,000, it was in perfect condition, previous owner was a rich guy in his late 40's, kind of an impulse buy that he did'nt drive much
20K for an 03 with 34k miles. Friend owned so I know the history. Never tracked or modded. Previous owner is also paying for dealer installed new rotors + brake pads before I pick it up.
might be interested in selling mine. looking at a 9.
I have a lightning yellow 03, ton of mods, 10,500 miles. still on stock tires/clutch and a spare set of stock tires.
pm if interested and send me your email

Sorry to bring up an old thread, but I did'nt wanna start another one for no good reason. Some guy from a dealership offered me an 05 EB Evo 8 with 9k miles for 28k OTD... should I do it? lol, I'm getting frustrated finding an Evo and my dad felt bad for me and agreed to pay for the rest of the payments I can't afford for an evo 9... but when i looked up the insurance, it's like a $400 difference between the 05 and 06... so I'm stuck with an Evo8 (Which, i'm not complaining of).
REQUEST THE VIN!!!!
Can't stress that enough. Am in the market for a used evo as well. 2 VIN's I've reqeuested came back with prior damage reports. Most people cannot tell a vehicle has been wrecked when professionally repaired.
Remember many (not all) people drives these vehicles very hard so check insurance claims as well as throroughly check these vehicles mechanically. May be worth spending $50 - $100 for those professional companies to inspect the vehicle.
