I'm not even a newb and I'm tired of searching for a definitive answer to this one - I realize that opinions are like @ssholes, but has anyone used a non-bleed el cheapo with any success? I really don't want to spend over 100 bucks on something that serves a pretty basic mechanical function.

Turbo xs? 20 dollar ebay bs?

I wouldn't mess with Ebay, I think the best MBC would be a Forge.

 

I've read a bunch of positive on the forge.

+1 on the Forge Unos - it's a great unit. I've noticed some ppl selling them for around 75 or so on here.

 

The Forge UNOS is the best and is only $80-85. The regular Hallman Pro is great, too, and costs the same, but it doesn't have the ratcheting knob like the Forge.

 

I would go Hallman Pro.

 

how bout joe p? i have his xz from my dsm, i have yet to put it on my evo but it did its job well on the dsm. it isn't as pretty as the others but who cares

 

i personally went with a hallman ...i did some research on the forge unit as that was my first choice but it seemed as though people were having some spiking issues with those units....even if a lot of people are having great sucess i didnt want to risk destroying my engine with a faulty unit..jmho

 

There aren't spiking issues with the MBC itself, just with improper installation.
