heat is on all the time, is this normal?
I searched and couldn't find anything relating to my question. I Wasn't sure where to put this thread. Sorry if this was already discussed.
I've noticed my heat is on all the time. I have the dial turned to the "off" position and the heat still comes out. When the car is standing still no heat comes out, but as soon as I start driving heat comes out, not a lot of heat, but still noticeable. Is this normal? Was this a recall or something? or is this just heat coming out from the engine? I don't really mind it because it's pretty cold here (in ny) but when spring/summer comes around it's going to be pretty annoying.
Thanks in advance for your input

same thing happens with my camry even when its off and all I have to do is just push the circle nob to stop the heat from coming in, the Evo is probably different, or maybe the same so try different things.
every car does this i think... my Integra does the same thing.. its called the "air recycle button" if you push it to on it closes the vents and only uses the air in the cabin to give heat or cold when the heater or A/C is on. if the button is off then the vents are open and theat from the engine comes thru..
