Question New EVOM Member

Hello EvolutionM-

It is a pleasure to be a part of such a wonderful and collegial group of people that share the same interest in automobiles. I ordered a Rally Red Evolution IX MR about two months ago and I should be able to pick it up in a couple of weeks. I would just like to say that the EVO has the most direct and visceral performance of any car that I have experienced before and that everybody should experience it.

I have a few questions about the EVO. When I first went to the dealer, they told me that their EVO's had experienced a "foul out" of the spark plugs. Foul out is when fuel or oil deposits build upon the plug’s electrodes and does not allow the car to start, primarily occuring on high performance engines. I was just wondering if it had ever occured on your EVO's and what you could do to prevent this.

Also, being in the northern part of the U.S, out of curiosity how does the EVO perform in the snow with proper snow tires? Being based off a WRC rally car it should have great traction.

I appreciate all your assistance! Glad to be part of such a wonderful site!

Welcome, I'm not familiar with foul out but I have an O5 VIII. The car is fun in the snow, but make sure to get all-season or snow tires. Have fun with your new monster! I attached a link to some snow drivning I did.
