What should I be paying for Evo8

What should I be paying for a silver 03, 32k miles and some minor mods? Anything to look for that might clue away hard driving? I have dealt with this dealer twice and I know all their angles , they usually don't give me the price I want but 3 days later they call me and give me that price. Anything wrong with buying an 03, it seems a little outdated and have heard some horror stories of rear ends snapping. Thanks

I love my 03, I just purchased her October of '05. She had 9,955 miles and completely stock. I paid 22k, which I think is a really good deal. No problems at all, she now has 16,XXX miles and next week I do my first autoX

I agree. Much more and you can get a new one.

I have seen dealers asking $29K for used Evo VIIIs. Hello! You can get a new IX for $28K! (I can't believe those guys.)

I say hell yes. Drive over to South Coast Mitsubishi in Costa Mesa and get a new Evo IX for about $28,000. Check out their March madness post on this forum, under Vendors: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...6&page=1&pp=15

Haw! It pays to do your research, huh? My local dealer is selling me a new SSL for $500 over South Coast's price. (I don't mind paying a little extra up here in Central California.) I would have paid thousands more if I hadn't checked here first.

There's this guy that keeps calling me and he's selling this evo 8 with 8k miles on it for like 29k before taxes, etc. I told him I'd do 26k OTD and he said it was impossible. But for some reason, he keeps calling me and telling me he'll give me a good price and when i bring up 26k OTD, he says no... wtf? I'm just gonna keep offering 26k OTD until he gives... he said he had some buys lined up for the weekend... but he said that 2 weeks ago and he just called me today. lol. I'm gonna wait another week then call him back and offer him 24k.

I would never pay even $26K for a used Evo GSR. A new IX is only $2,000 more! 24K, maybe. Maybe.
