I'm 15 and I'm really trying to get into and learn about cars. Is there some site that teaches like what to look for in a car when you buy it and stuff like that?

 

Hi and welcome. your question totally depends on what kind of a car you are looking for. if you are looking for a mitsu this is the place to come to. Here you can find almost if not all the info you could possably need about them. just make sure you use the "search" feature that is located in the bar at the top and highlited in yellow. it is all here, you just need to search for it!
as for other cars I would suggest you looked for messageboards related to them.

if you are looking for info about how the engine etc works in general I think it would be best if you just search google, howstuffworks.com, wikipedia etc.

 

yea i was looking for the second part and thanks! Also I do plan on buying a mitsu and I saw the thread on how they are going to stop making IXs and that made me worry

yea i'm probably not going to get it anytime soon....I love to dream. I'm actually probably get a used honda or something as my first car, but I like these forums and I would like to get what you guys are talking about. I wanna learn what like Horse power, torque, and RPM mean and what the suspension does and stuff like that

dude if your parents havecars use them i tell you its well worth it and save up for a real car not some civic cause then youll get sucked into that damn ricer world get a gs eclipse mabe a gst but like i said save up hell even the 3000gt base models are better. like we all agree on do more research on a car before you decide on it and also dont say what your ganna get but rather keep it to yourelf until you acually have the keys to the car and then talk cause youll get **** from ur friends and on forums if you end up sharin with parents.

ohh that sux man. my bad .lol yea those eclipses are sweet but watchout for crankwalk look into it i just found out about it too im 16 though i was thinkin about a gsx and then my dad agreed on a 07 mr this fall
