Had I known how quickly it would get there, I'd have saved the cash on the expedited shipping, but hey, hind sight, 20/20, that kinda thing.

Once Mark received the WRX and approved it for trade-in, he FedEx'd (actually DHL's, but that's a technicality) the paperwork up to me, complete with pre-paid return shipping. I signed everything, included title, extra keys etc for the WRX, and DHL'd it back to him. Then we arranged shipping for the MR from the dealership to Portland. I was quoted 10 days for the shipping time to get the MR up here, but it arrived in 5. Needless to say, I'm quite pleased.

I didn't send Mark the title until I had the purchase paperwork in my hands. Then I sent the signed title back along with all the signed sales paperwork (long form, due bill, notice to supply insurance, etc). That's the only way I would do it. If he had requested the title before sending me the complete set of paperwork, I would have walked away as that's a recipe for disaster.

It's going to Jacksonville, FL, and when it has to cross over parts of "redneck nation" you could actually consider it crossing over a national border

But now the fun begins. Off to DMV for temp registration crap then out onto the wet, nasty roads of Portland, OR.

Yay! Cool choice for a color too. Hope your DMV doesnt resemble our's.

"Redneck Nation" .... That's good. I'm going to have to use that one sometime.

If it's just across the country, I suspect it'll be 6 or 7 days. Bernie and I were actually laughing about the fact that it was going to take 10 days to get from LA to Portland, when I could ship a car across the country in less than a week. However, I understand that Redneck Nation is currently experiencing some severe weather problems here and there, so it might actually get delayed.

And speaking of rednecks and severe weather... ever notice how whenever there's a tornado someplace, it makes a beeline for the trailer park? Gotta wonder about that.

GG is the only way to fly.

Oh I've spent more than my fair share of time in CA DMVs. Lived there for most of my natural life. Surprisingly though, the OR DMV was pretty decent today. I was in and out in 45 minutes without an appointment. I've never had that happen in California.

lol fair enough. I'm around the Beaverton area, so if you see a GG MR with a South Coast Mitsu plateframe, it's probably me.

You might consider trading the WRX to Mark @ South Coast Mitsu for the an MR. The dealerships up here won't budge from MSRP since their allocations sucks. You could either drive your WRX to LA and back in Evo, or do the shipping thing like I did.
