why no jdm 4g63

why no jdm 4g63

I have a question and I am sure someone has an answer. here it is I have a project car that I am doing. don't flame, its a honda civic hatchback 95 and I just resently bought a k20a type r motor and hybrid racing parts to put this is. it was very easy to locate and buy the k20a. know for the question. why haven't I heard of anybody here buying a jdm evo motor 4g63. the evo has been around for a while and I never hear of anybody putting in a jdm evo motor. has anybody bought one and installed. that is including the tranny. what was the results? thanks

there's no jdm evo motor 4g63...
there's only 1 motor for evos.... no difference from japan through england through usa

its the same thing as the usdm engine. next time do your own research.

Idk if id want the stock evo tranny...

There are a few different iterations of the Evo motor that resides in the Evo 8. Mostly changes to the oil filter housing, pistons and cams though from the Evo 4-8. The latest iteration of the motor is the best, and I think that while only semi-informed, the point the people are trying to make is that there's no advantage to going with a Japanese version of this motor.

The early evolutions, maybe but not the 4-8.

The latest pistons in the Mivec car are the best yet though.

jspecautosports.com has jdm complete swaps for $3950 and coming soon the evo 1/evo 2(just the motors).

From a standpoint of an early evo "conversion" car I would recommend only the Galant 6 bolt motor as it's the most reliable and robust, especially when compared to the 7 bolt evo motors from the E1-3.

Although the E1-3 have better cams and pistons the Galant motor is a better starting point.
