i was told about a month ago, from a very reliable source that - there were 1000 8 MR for the US market, and 1200 9 MR for the US, with red being the rarest color, 2nd comes white for both model years.

I know of all the physical differences between MR and IX . But Can anyone describe the actual differences in how the cars feel on the street? And does the 6mt shift any smoother or better than the 5mt? I'm trying to decide if it's worth the diff. in cost?
+1

The lighter color vehicles are marketed towards the hotter southern states, like white and blue, silver, etc. The darker colors for the northern states. And this makes sense to me as well.

Ok, let me clear that up, special orders do not add to the number being produced, but will def. add to the whole. That's what i meant to say and after i re-read it, it was unclear as donkey dick.
What do you mean it adds to the whole? The whole what? All a special order does is get you one that has the options and color you want, which just means they ship it from somewhere else or add those features at the port. It doesn't mean they go build one for you...
