Do you come out of 1st gear, you do know that you need to shift, right?

I do it almost every time I drive... lol

Is this true? I am not in the boost range too often when I am driving on the street.

I've heard this about Subaru ECUs, but the way to get more aggressive timing out of them (or make them "learn") was to do runs from 3rd or 4th gear from 3krpm to redline. I haven't heard that about Evo ECUs yet. (I also haven't looked because I don't seem to need help on doing that without advice!)

I didn't realize how easy I drove my car until I put my boost gauge in. Day to day, I rarely boost over 10 or 15 psi. Now that I can see the boost, I try to tap 20 at least once a day. Ok, maybe twice. Maybe more....sometimes....most of the time.
Isn't the performance the reason you bought the car in the first place? I know traffic has a lot to do with it but surely you have a favorite road you can hit from time to time to remember why you got it in the first place.

Same here with my Audi A4, even with a chipped ECU it gets progressively slower when you don't boost. You can always just reset the ECU to get it fast again.
The only reason to drive your evo hard is to wear your tires uniformly. Drive it e-z and the inside shoulders will wear faster than the outside shoulders. Thats the only legitimate reason to drive it hard that I can think of.
