large person, long trip in evo?

I am flying to Cali to pick up my evo ix mr. The drive back is 1040 miles. My friend is 5' 10" and 300 lbs. and he thinks the drive will be fine. Does anyone have any personal experience with a situation such as this. I don't care about the performance drawbacks; I just want some company for the 15 hour drive without having to listening to someone complain the whole way.
Thanks

I am 5'11 and 300lbs but more of a muscular build than flab. All of my working out in school keeps me from looking to out of shape, but I still have some extra pounds to lose. I am getting my Evo later this summer and I have driven several with no problem at all. I think he should be fine. I do carry my weight a little different but I hope this helps.

Ive driven from cali to vegas and back with a couple friends who are on the heavy side (and im not exactly small myself) and ive heard no complaints, as long as you get out and stretch every once in awhile.

The MR is actually not too bad. Especially at speed on the freeway. The bilsteins a nice ride for how well they perform. I drive about 2500-3000 miles a month and it hasn't gotten to me yet. Just make sure your friend can fit in the seat! They are quite a snug fit.

I am 5'9" and was 275 (I lost a lot of weight), and I drove from New Hampshire to Maryland and back. Not quite as far as you are driving, but I was perfectly comformtable.

In addition I think the Evo rides great on the highway. Just as smooth, if not better than any other car that I have owned.
