WRX guy here to learn more about Evos

Well I know a few people with Evos but don't know much about them beyond what I have read for the most part. I have enjoyed lurking here for awhile so thought I would join. Here is my ride:

I am running a VF34 tuned with Ecutek engine management. If you aren't familiar with dyno dynamics dynos they read very low. As reference, stock Evos and STis dyno in the 220-230 whp range.

Official welcome. I owned a WRX once. My wife still drives one. It's sporty, handles decently, loves the dirt but I'd never go back. Be careful about hanging out here too much you might become a convert too.

Nice car and good numbers on the dyno. I had an 02 wrx for a couple of years. The thing I wish I had swapped on it right away were the brakes. Other than that really simple mods got it to handle so well. Btw.. glad you got rid of those stock re92s.

Yep stock wheels/tires and suspension is not all that impressive. Its setup to be able to handle some light offroading.

I have some Prodrive springs, and Cusco sway bars that really tighten this car up nicely. I am actually really happy with the handling. I do quite a bit of auto crossing.

Did you do rear swaybar endlinks? They make a bigger difference than adding the sway bar. I was shocked when I put them on. Kartboy!

Yep I have Poltec solid aluminum rear endlinks. They were a great little mod.

Nice, do you do any Auto Xing? or ever go down to Epping? I auto x up at NHIS every now and then. Have yet to get to Epping to see what this thing can do yet. Can't do anything until the roads stop flooding.

Haven't done any type of racing yet. I was thinking of checking out what goes on at NHIS.

Wizzman, nice car! I am sure you will see my Red RS with White wheels around the Hampton area. I also get to NED in Epping but mostly to watch.
