Pushing the EVO

Well Guys I've owned my EVO for about a month now and getting the feel of power and handling. I took a drive down a two lane road early Saturday morning. The road had some long stretches and some pretty good turns you had to drop down to second and third gears and launch it after hitting the apex. Frickin car handled great. There was alot more stick and grip in the EVO. More than I wanted to push. The long stretches I got up above 100MPH+. Didn't stay there long as Johnny Law was out. I did break the back end loose on one corner but I let off the gas and she settled down.

Great car!

might want to be careful lifting off the throttle when you are oversteering...but glad to hear you enjoyed your drive.

Thanks for the oversteering remark. It was not a slide but rather a hint from the car. She said "hold on now, you don't have enough time in the saddle to be doing that" So the next set of corners I reduce my entry speed and made it up on the exit. Makes more sense but I was trying to bleed speed off but it was too late so I turned the wheel and 3/4 of the car followed the front and the rear end stuck pretty quick. Do you think I'm carrying too much speed into the corners. Sounds like it, eh?

have fun with your car, but be responsable! just be sure you know what you are doing. One step at a time and learn your and the cars limits!!
