1st Test Drive / I need to buy it!!!

Well after much beating around the bush and putting it off, I went to a local dealer today and much to my surprise they didn't hesitate in letting me test drive a new IX. Now coming from the Subaru world I allready read about the differances in how the car would feel so I wouldn't be to surprised. But I still was. Pleasantly that is. While the car wasn't as torquey as the STi ( which I knew going in ) it seemed to get to speed ALOT quicker. Handling, fit, new leather smell, it was a mezmerizing 10 minutes. The gearbox was tight with quick and accurate shifts. I just couldn't stop saying WOW. The salesman just kept grinning. Needless to say I was dissapointed to pull back on the lot but excited that I had driven it and the decision was final. All it will take now is a proper trade in value on the scooby or selling it outright. All I have read for the past couple of months on this board was not BS. I can see now why everybody is so dedicated and loyal. What a beast. What a steal at barely over 30g's. Can't wait to sign on the dotted line. It will be mine. Oh yes, it will be mine.

You had about the same experience I did. I also love my Evo and think I might keep it forever. But there is a difference in the way the two cars drive and handle, just wait until you get it on the track. Best of luck just don't be to excited to get it and let them rake you over the coals on the deal of the sale. Best of luck
