Deal or No Deal?
Deal or No Deal? I want my Evo.
No Deal...
I went to the dealer to work something out and they want $36,947 for the White Evo MR which with another estimate of $1000 for both cars to be shipped (the white evo here, the car they are trading there) and another $599 that is required by law if you have a car shipped.
So totaled for the car they want $38,546 not including tax.
Then to the story of my trade in 2006 Mustang GT, which I have invested about $5,000 into so far. They want to give me $24,000 for the car so that they can go ahead and resell it for $30,000. I just laughed when I left, but I realized that I wouldn't be getting an Evo within a week so that just about whiped the smirk off my face.
I'm going to try and sell my car on autotrader.com and if I accomplish that then drive to tampa and purchase the white evo directly from them and pay $36,947 which is sticker. I was told (at least from this dealer) that they will not drop a dime under sticker.
Any other opinions on what I should do would be greatly appreciated.

LOL, I sure did. I might take a drive out there, but I really do need a firm $30,000 for my car. I'm not sure what he could do about getting me that white MR and don't think he will be able to handle my trade in.

chaotichoax it does for some people that want an 06 mustang GT and dont want to have to mod the car themselves. That was what I was going to start it out on autotrader but now that I think about it twice you are absolutely right... I basically have no clue on what to start the car out on autotrader. Do you think $28,000 sounds reasonable to start, that's about what I payed for it.
There's 4,800 miles on it btw.

Dam, there is quite a bit of evos in my area. Any evo clubs in the area? Do you guys get out to Bithlo, because I see at least 5 evos there everytime I go to the track. One really nice MR ran 11.8 the last time I went.
Also does anyone know when the last produced Evo will be, because I don't want to get a used one and I believe it is August.
Jeff, believe me I know... I know... The reason is stated above. I could wait but I will never be able to get another brand new Evo since this is the last production year for this body style. The Evo X imo is one fugly car and i'm not going to buy it lol. Waiting isn't the problem it's just again the fact I can't get one after August.
I feel everything you just said and my wallet will surely feel it too.
