Evo VIII to a rental car
Evo VIII to a rental car
I was on vacation last week and rented a 2006 Chevy Malibu and I was amazed at how crappy the car was after driving the EVO. It was like driving a boat. Alot of body roll, crappy brakes, absolutely gutless car. It took me awhile to get use to it.
The only brightside was that it got 24 mpg. It was a V8 that would switch to 4 cylinders when at highway speeds. I was cruising at 65mph at around 1500 rpm.
So enjoy the EVOs brothas and sistas...

I only experienced this feeling once. I drove my stg4 wrx for a few months, and that's the only car I drove. Then I drove a mercury mountaineer, and I thought every turn I take I was going to roll over. But now I alternate a lot between a evo, humdizzle, and a mercury mountaineer so I dont get that feeling as much,
But it's good to take a break from your Evo sometimes, lets you know how good you have it.
I drive a 1997 Saturn SL2 as a work car (except on Fridays
) -- and it works out great. Everytime I get back in my Evo, she just feels so fast all over again

Ummm... Malibus don't come with V8 engines.
The only Chevy cars that come with the V8 engines with the cylinder deactivation feature are the SS versions of the Impalla and Monte Carlo.

If it was 4 doors, it was the Impalla SS. Not a bad car for what it is (I work at a Chevy/Subaru dealership), but nowhere near the Evo in terms of handling, balance, etc.
I had to get a rental too this week because my evo was at the dealer. My shift link broke and I thought it was more serious. Nothing like goin from a fusion to a evo again...ahhhh
brightside is my evo shifts like(evo)butter again. The dealership was great too bunch of good guys, no hassle not even a question.
