I learned and from experience I would say that I wouldn't do it again. It was my first time driving stick and I burnt the clutch out in less than 5,000 miles. The repair bill was almost $1400.

The EVO would be a terrible car to learn on. Typically when learning a clutch for the first time many drivers will slip/grind the clutch/gears and the EVO simply can't handle the abuse. I would not at all recommend it.

I learned on mine and stock clutch is still going strong all while making additional power over stock (300whp/310wtq), but I wouldn't do it again if I had a choice.

sounds like a REALLY bad idea... cuz every kid gets into a dinger at some point... not really much of achance of a dinger when you have 270 plus horses under you... and nothing is sadder than a wrecked EVO... like seeing a stallion with a broken leg...
